This is a specialized system consisting of a vacuum wellpoint pump, header pipe, and swing hoses connected to individual Wellpoints. Utilizing vacuum created by the wellpoint pump, water is extracted from the soil. Wellpoints along the perimeter of an excavation or trench creates a curtain for lowering the groundwater table and stabilizing the soil formation. This curtain works well in stratified soils, particularly when the water table must be lowered to an impervious layer such as clay or rock.
McQuilkin Dewatering installs Wellpoint Systems utilizing a jetted casing. Wellpoints are installed up to 26ft below grade and within an up to 18 inch well annulus. Our McQuilkin installed Wellpoints produce superior water clarity and yield based on years of experience working in all soil conditions.
